Very clean and welcoming reception area. Real close to rail station at Lime Street. Luke made us feel very welcome on arrival. Room was very good. Spotless. Reported a couple of 'wee' issues on check-out (i.e. to tighten a door hinge and inspect a slightly loose window handle) - room 414. A few more 'real' tea-bags in room would be welcome. Nice cookies supplied and 2 bottles water was a lovely touch. Never tried coffee machine. Trying to squeeze the toiletries out of bottles did prove challenging. Ended up unscrewing lids. Ground floor restaurant looked fantastic and very posh. Having the separate entrance to Castaway bar is priceless. The offer to purchase dressing gown robes was 'nice' at £35. Bed was comfy. We would have preferred a few more, slightly firmer pillows. Saying that, slept like a log!

Stayed 1 night as we were going to a concert, have stayed several times over the years, has been a while since we last stayed, bedrooms have been updated, staff were very pleasant and breakfast was great, good choice for gluten free and nice to have nicely cooked bacon and eggs cooked well, The only little negativity was that we stayed in room 607, we could hear the tannoy in the train station, the radiators came on very early in the morning and making a clunking noise which unfortunately woke me up, however I also appreciate it's an old building and would complain if I was cold waking up.

location. literally yards from Lime St. Station and relatively quiet but we always take ear plugs as we like the window open.. staff super friendly and helpful. Good breakfast too. Lovely large TV for when the weather was awful one night. Small fridge, complimentary bottled water and cookies as well as shower gels etc. Lively crisp linen. Very clean with daily house keeping. Shower was pretty decent too. Easy tu use safe in the adequate wardrobe. Overall, an ideal spot just 10 minutes walk from everywhere.

We had a wonderful stay once again at The Liner. The perfect base for our event at the O2 Academy - a stones throw away! Comfortable and clean, The Liner has been our go-to since we first came for Eurovision in 2023 and never disappoints. It’s a great place to stay - close to the station and the centre of Liverpool. Wonderful, friendly staff who are more than happy to ensure your stay is as good as it possibly can be. They took note of and guaranteed our one issue would be looked into straight away.

Olivia

Location in Liverpool centre is just perfect for all attractions including the Liverpool Empire and Christmas markets. The hotel is also right near to Lime Street Station which is great if you are travelling by train although we did drive there this time and the free car park adjacent to the hotel was a bonus. The rooms are very nice and comfortable. The restaurant has excellent quality food and the staff are very pleasant and helpful.
