We really enjoyed our stay at The Liner Hotel. We booked in on Monday for one night and then booked another night on the Friday. It's quite As we were arriving by train, the location couldn't have been better, right near the railway station. Also right in the middle of the city so we were close to everything we wanted - pubs, bars, restaurants and loads to explore. Our room was very luxurious with a king-size bed which was so comfortable I didn't want to get up in the morning, large windows making the room very light, a huge TV and a well-appointed bathroom. The shower was a tad difficult to operate but we managed and the complimentary shampoo/shower wash was really helpful. The breakfast room was lovely and light and airy and had tables by the window which made dining very enjoyable. Our breakfast was absolutely delicious and such a large range of fresh dishes to choose from - cereals, fresh fruit, continental ingredients as well as hot dishes for a full English! We had something of everything, including toast and pastries. Everything was very well presented and cooked and certainly set us up for a long day of sightseeing.

Very clean and welcoming reception area. Real close to rail station at Lime Street. Luke made us feel very welcome on arrival. Room was very good. Spotless. Reported a couple of 'wee' issues on check-out (i.e. to tighten a door hinge and inspect a slightly loose window handle) - room 414. A few more 'real' tea-bags in room would be welcome. Nice cookies supplied and 2 bottles water was a lovely touch. Never tried coffee machine. Trying to squeeze the toiletries out of bottles did prove challenging. Ended up unscrewing lids. Ground floor restaurant looked fantastic and very posh. Having the separate entrance to Castaway bar is priceless. The offer to purchase dressing gown robes was 'nice' at £35. Bed was comfy. We would have preferred a few more, slightly firmer pillows. Saying that, slept like a log!

Location was ideal just round the corner from Lime Street Station. Also the Liverpool Empire Theatre at the bottom of the street and Ma Egerton's Stage Door pub is opposite,😁Decor is in keeping with the name of the hotel and is reminiscent of stepping aboard a ship 😊 Staff we're friendly and helpful. The room was a double with plenty of space and very comfortable. The bathroom was very clean and quite spacious. You have the choice between a bath or a shower, however the bath maybe a little high for some people to step in and out of. All in all a beautiful clean hotel with friendly staff in a great location what is there not to like. I highly recommend a stay 😁

This hotel is a good location. Parking is free which is a bonus. The staff are friendly and approachable. The bed is so comfortable. There are baths in the room which is also a bonus and the towels are supper white and thick. On entry to reception, the very large fish tank was very dirty. Usually this attracts your attention for its cleanliness and the beautiful fish inside which is sad now. The bar closes at usual pub times which is a bit disappointing but wetherspoons is just a very short walk. Unfortunately only one lift was working out of the two. Other than these errors we would definitely stay again.

When we checked in we were informed that we had been given a free room upgrade. After booking, I had enquired at what time the restaurant would open as it was our wedding anniversary while we were there. When we entered the room there was Prosecco, chocolate, jelly beans, giant cookies, a fridge with milk and water and also dressing gowns and slippers. We were pleasantly surprised and appreciative. We stay at The Liner a lot and know how welcoming the staff are, but this was above and beyond. We’d like to thank the Liner for what they did. As usual, everything was perfect, the room, service and location.
